Derived from Gaelic and synonymous with the common good and prosperity, established by eight families on St. Patrick’s Day, 2019 , we call ourselves the Weal HC.

Time marches on and life happens. We get older and have families. But hockey is the one tie that binds us and our community together forever. Most of the teams we played for as young men no longer exist. With the creation of this HC, we aim to build a club that stands the test of time.

We are an organization in which our power lies within our votes. We have voted in each full time member one-by-one through majority rule and are on always on the hunt for more skaters to add to our fold.

We are not your average beer league hockey team. We leverage organization, networking and technology to build a new and lasting identity in our hockey community. With a little luck and fortitude, perhaps the next few generations of our families will be playing the same game together in the same sweaters for years to come.
